The brief for this private residence was to reimagine the space for family life while respecting its original architectural character. The goal was to open up the home, enhance natural light, and introduce high-quality bespoke finishes that seamlessly blend old and new styles.
THE APPROACH
A balance of restoration and modernisation.
Our approach was to carefully renovate and extend the property, ensuring that every new addition complemented the existing charm. The rear extension allowed for an open-plan living, kitchen, and dining area, creating a fluid space filled with natural light. Floor-to-ceiling glazing and crittall doors connect the interior with the beautifully landscaped garden, enhancing the sense of openness.
Throughout the home, original features were restored, including period fireplaces, cornicing, and staircase details. These heritage elements were balanced with contemporary materials such as polished concrete floors, bespoke timber joinery, and a striking marble kitchen island. The bathrooms were designed as luxurious retreats, featuring natural stone, brushed brass fixtures, and underfloor heating.
